When you need W or WW boots, in the larger sizes, they can be hard to find. With my arthritic toes, I need comfort or why wear shoes at all? The fit is spot on, you don't need to go up or down in size. If you are borderline in boots when you wear thin socks, and think you will want to wear them with thicker socks, at the sale price you might be able to afford to add a width.
