I think this model is marked down, as the plastic material used to make them in Thailand is very stiff and will not breathe or wear like real leather. The color is a dark burgundy, oxblood brown. I have 3 pair of Fitflops...I wear a Ladies US size 11 (narrow), so I have ordered an EU 43 in this SuperT style (with the narrow toe cap) twice and it fits like a glove! I have also ordered the regular sneaker with the wider toe box in 43 -same size- but had to give them to my husband (who wears a 3EEE) unless I was wearing thick winter socks. He loves them and wants another pair. The soft foam footbed is so comfortable!! Quality and attention to detail I would expect from Fitflop...unfortunate choice of material.I have 5 pairs of FitFlop sandals and was so sad not to be able to wear the same foot comfort level through the winter. I bought these from Amazon because it was on a great sale. I got a half size bigger than I normally wear and there is good room for the thicker socks I wear in the fall/winter. As others noted they are a bit squeaky (actually some of my other shoes are as well) but the comfort outweighs any cons. I will probably buy another pair at the sale price if available.I bought this mostly because FitFlop is the most comfortable brand shoe I've ever worn. (Especially the sandals)! But I needed something casual and easy to wear for the winter. I love the patent leather look on a sneaker. It gives it a little more chic than many other sneaks. It's a tiny bit clunky looking for me, but comfort is key and this is perfect for pants or jeans.FitFlops are VERY true to size, so if you plan on wearing warm or thick socks with them, you MAY need a half size larger. These are stiff like the other reviews stated, but they do get more comfortable as you break them in. They are a little squeeky at first as well. You and find the spot and rub a very tiny drop of oil onto it to help that since it seems to be where the tongue and outside of the shoe meet. They are just a tad on the small side so I have to wear thin socks with them. That said, they are super cute and I got lots of compliments when I wore them.Wow. Talk about disappointment. I'm an avid "FitFlopper" despite their bulkiness and was hoping the FitFlop "fitfloppiness" would translate over to these.I love where they tried to go with the idea - the patent leather look, the color and not looking as clunky as FitFlops can look, but to wear them was like putting my feet into a clamp and they hardly have any give. Somewhere in there is a slight touch of FitFlop but it's so far in there, its like the story of the Princess and the Pea. I've tried repeatedly to break them in but they are determined to maintain their stiffness.I'm less apt to purchase another Fitflop shoe (vs. the 'flipflop'). I should have listened to the comments I had read on these very shoes before I purchased them but I still went ahead and picked up a pair. It was like my mind refused to believe that FitFlop would put out a clamp calling itself a shoe AND with the nerve to masquerade as a FitFlop. So...my shoes sit in my shoe closet. I can't get rid of them (just yet) because they look good but I can't wear them. So maybe getting rid of them will have to be my next step (no pun intended). This was the 11th pair of FitFlops I owned (I returned these). Mostly I have open shoes, but I also own their clogs, boots, and a pair lace up dressier shoes as well. All of my other FitFlops have out-stretched my expectations - they are comfortable, stylish, ease my knee pain, and seem to last forever. This particular pair of shoes was as comfortable as I expected. However, they squeaked so badly when I walked that I only wore them around the house. The one day I wore them to go shopping, so many people turned to look at me that I felt like I had egg on my face. Eventually, I started making a joke out of it, but it was really bad. Following that experience, I wore them around the house for a few minutes every day. After about 3 weeks, the squeaking had lessened and I decided to wear them out and about again.Given my experience with FitFlops, imagine my surprise when only the second time I had them on outside I went to re-tie my shoe in bright sun light and realized that the leather had cracked in several places! I definitely do NOT recommend these shoes.I love Fit Flops. Have several pairs of the sandals and wore absolutely nothing else, all summer long. I was excited about these and will say the sole is typically, comfortable Fit Flop, however the stiffness of the rubber for the tennis shoe is problematic for the TOP of my toes/feet! Disappointed. I can wear them for short time frames, but won't be able to wear them for all day walking, as I had hoped. :(The only fitflop of mine that gave me blisters. I wore without socks to wear with boyfriend jeans. Cute look but now I use short socks with them. The leather is too stiff!!! But they're a very cute shoe. And very comfortable with that sole of Fitflop's!. I'll be wearing again once fall gets here.Great fit.....but narrow so I needed a size larger than normal. Perfect to help ease my Planta fasciitis....So much better than having to use supporting inserts in my shoes. Need 'breaking' in so only wear for short bursts to start with, then build up to a full day. Great value....if you have the patience to wait for a price drop!!As with all my FitFlops - absolutely delighted. These shoes are so comfortable for someone with 'awkward' feet - I will be adding to my collection again soon. Well worth the money. Store packaged shoes well and sent then quickly. Can't ask for more.i wear these for work as the patent finish means they don't look like trainers. they are very comfortable. at first i got a few blisters as the shoes were very stiff but after wearing a few times the leather has softened up and they are becoming more and more comfortable.I own 3 pairs of fitflops, and generally get on very well with them (2 flipflop type and 1 boots). These however look plastic-y are quite stiff and too tight across toe area. Very uncomfortable and definitely not worth the money. Had to be returned.my wife told me to write this: " the sole is the only good thing about these shoes, otherwise thy are very hard, and I do not think they will give, I had to return them; I will stick to Fitflop clogs only, pity".
